Sagnik was born and raised in a small town in West Bengal, India. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, driven by his passion for theoretical-mathematical and computational biology. He strongly believes that everything in the universe holds a mathematical basis and is dedicated to exploring and unraveling the language of nature.

Research Focus

Sagnik is working on evolutionary game theory to study the dynamics of biological systems. His work involves studying deterministic dynamics to gain a deeper understanding of evolution, and he is exploring stochastic dynamics to model biological systems more realistically. A key focus of his research is integrating structured populations into evolutionary game theory with the aim of understanding how cooperation might increase in populations.

Current Research

For his Bachelor’s thesis topic, Sagnik is studying cellular burn wound dynamics using evolutionary game theory combined with structured populations. Beyond this specific project, he is also interested in exploring theoretical biophysics and computational biology.
